The company\u00a0faced criticism\u00a0for its failure to deliver on an improved version of Siri after numerous setbacks and delays, but a report late Wednesday afternoon from\u00a0Bloomberg\u2019s Mark Gurman\u00a0suggests Apple is preparing to make a comeback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tim Cook, Apple\u2019s CEO, said \u201cThe product pipeline \u2014 which I can\u2019t talk about \u2014 it\u2019s amazing, guys. It\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The long-rumored smark speaker with a display is set to arrive next year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One of the rumored devices is a\u00a0tabletop robot\u00a0that can turn and swivel to face whoever is speaking to it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If successful, this plan would mark a new level of innovation in Apple\u2019s products and help restore customer trust after the issues that have plagued the company throughout the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to insiders, this hardware pipeline is a key element of turning around Apple\u2019s AI presence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the information with a grain of salt; as these products still haven\u2019t been officially announced, the expected design and function could change or be scrapped before release.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new products could improve\u00a0Apple\u2019s HomeKit lineup. A souped-up Siri would strengthen functionality across all of Apple\u2019s devices, while the tabletop robot opens the door to group FaceTime calls and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to Gurman, \u201cthe hallmark of the device is an entirely new version of the Siri voice assistant that can inject itself into conversations between multiple people.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The device will \u201cact like a person in the room\u201d and provide contextual information, such as suggesting restaurants in a conversation about where to go for dinner.
